Voice Care Workshop
Introduction
The human voice consists of sound made by a human being using the vocal folds for talking, singing, laughing, crying, screaming, etc. Human voice is specifically that part of human sound production in which the vocal folds (vocal cords) are the primary sound source.
The goal of voice treatment is to ensure that the individual can do everything with his or her voice that he or she desires, with the desired quality. Often, because a pattern of less-than-optimal voice use has created the problem in the first place, the professional voice user is better off after therapy than before the problem was first noticed.
Participants will learn:
- Relaxation exercise
- Abdominal breathing
- Vocal exercises (Yawn-sigh technique, Ahhh-Eee technique etc)
- Sufficient hydration
- Verdolini stretches (neck, tongue, jaw stretches)
Duration : 1 hour
Recommended class size : No more than 30
